Exploring today has new rules and calls for a different type of individual.
As one of the world’s most specialized experts in Unconventional Exploration (UE), TREK OPS is a multidisciplinary professional organization dedicated to the advancement of field research and the ideal that it is vital to document and preserve the ancient history of North America. Our goal and effort is to provide support to individuals and organizations involved in that quest.
To serve that purpose, TREK OPS provides expedition resources including professional expeditionary teams, research experts, funding, online information, and member-to-member consultation.
Probably the most powerful resource available to those who join TREK OPS is fellowship with other members—a vast network of expertise, experience, technology, industry, and support.
TREK OPS actively encourages public interest in exploration and the sciences through its public lectures program, social media interface, backcountry adventures, and other events.
TREK OPS also maintains Research Archives to preserve the history of the organization and to assist those interested and engaged in exploration and scientific research.
THE JOINT TASK FORCE
As the backbone of TREK OPS, the Joint Task Force (JTF) B-Teams unite professional and amateur explorers, scientists, academics, adventurers and hobbyists in the bonds of good fellowship by supporting The Expeditionary Group (TEG), outside organizations and individuals in their exploration efforts.
THE EXPEDITIONARY GROUP
TREK OPS Expeditionary Group (TEG) members are either on a real-world expedition or training for one. Their expeditions are conducted throughout North America and are sometimes sponsored by private or public organizations and individuals. They range from ancient treasure expeditions to historical research, documentation and preservation to humanitarian efforts to just plain fun adventures.
The TEG A-Team is the Swiss Army Knife called on to do almost anything in field research and expeditions. Each A-Team member is an expert in their own speciality and cross-trained in others.
