Because a TEG member’s level of physical fitness has a direct impact on his or her expedition readiness, they must be mentally and physically fit.

In addition, one of the most important things a TEG member can do is make sure their exploration and adventuring skills are finely tuned. There's a wide variety of training to choose from, including tactical, technical, physical and leadership development. Many of these opportunities allow them to practice their skills in the field as an individual and as part of a team.

Beyond the extensive individual training for entry into TEG, all TREK OPS Scouts complete a myriad of advanced individual skills training. These skills are then applied in a collective manner on the A-Team or B-Team to make TEG a versatile and adaptable organization.
